Del 9 al 19 de noviembre 2012 va a estar la Feria internacional del libro infantil y juvenil 32, en el Centro Nacional de las Artes, en la ciudad de México. (¡No les vaya a pasar lo que a Peña!).
Necesitamos frutas, verduras, proteínas y muchos nutrientes más para el buen funcionamiento de nuestro cuerpo; pero necesitamos amor, información y libros para nutrir nuestra mente. Leer nos da información, leer nos da seguridad, leer nos da autoestima, leer y comprender es un excelente ejercicio mental. El programa de la FILIJ (Feria internacional del libro infantil y juvenil) todavía no está disponible, por eso, es hora de empezar a ahorrar.
El 2 de septiembre, pero de 1900, en Chicago se publicó por primera vez el libro: "El mago de Oz." Muchos de los adultos conocimos la historia del libro a través de la película, y de las canciones que hicieron famosa a la película. Muchas caricaturas han dedicado capítulos a los personajes principales de la película.

La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de presenciar las exposiciones de Science de este grupo. Fue realmente una sorpresa ver cómo explicaban su trabajo hablando inglés. Quiero recalcar, que hablar español frente a un público es muy difícil, ahora, imagínense que hacerlo en inglés es el doble de difícil. Como siempre, es muy importante recalcar, que el apoyo de ustedes, como padres que prestan a sus hijos es palpable. Todos los trabajos son muy pero muy creativos. Congratulations!!! A todos ustedes, papás, mamás, niños, niñas, abuelitos, abuelitas, tíos, tías, a todos ustedes que contribuyen a que estos chicos desempeñen su trabajo.

Michael Joseph Jackson nació el 29 de agosto de 1958 en el estado de Indiana.y murió el 25 de junio de 2009.
Sin duda él fue un gran compositor, músico, cantante y bailarín. Para muchos adultos de mi generación, el significó un cambio a la nueva era de la música. Él fue uno de los primeros cantantes que hicieron videos.
El grupo de 6to grado, a cargo del profesor Vìctor, está trabajando con esta canción inédita. El video incluye la letra.

De niña uno de mis programas favoritos era Plaza Sésamo. Su primera emisión en Estados Unidos fue el 10 de noviembre de 1969 por la cadena pública NET (actual PBS), llegando a un total 4.135 episodios en su temporada 37, convirtiéndolo en el programa para niños más duradero de toda la historia de la televisión. Es un programa activamente multicultural e intenta incluir roles y personajes de todo tipo, incluyendo discapacitados, jóvenes y mayores y personas de diversas razas. Mientras algunas de las marionetas se asemejan a las personas, otras son animales o "monstruos" de tamaños y colores arbitrarios. El programa anima a los niños a darse cuenta de que hay gente de todas las formas, tamaños y colores y que no hay un 'tipo' físico mejor que otro.
